What Celebs Are Wearing From French Connection Hello

In the era of social media, celebs aren't shy to let us know what they're wearing and how much it costs. So we're delighted to report that Holly Willoughby looked chic and on-point this Wednesday on This Morning, in a puff sleeve midi dress from French Connection Hello (pictured above) which cost PS110. She teamed the flattering floral frock with her go-to Gianvito Rossi heels and her blonde locks swept into a chic side parting.

The Britain's Got Talent judge looked fresh-faced and fabulous in the yellow mini skirt with seam detailing, which was available to buy online in all sizes. The star, who recently returned to the show after a two-year break, was also seen wearing a navy blue bell-sleeve jumper with a pretty navy bow detail. She paired the cosy piece with her trusty black skinny jeans and accessorised with her signature Ray-Bans and a chunky silver necklace.

It seems that the British brand may have lost its FCUK touch. The company, which once boasted stores in The  french connection keep in touch Bluewater and Brent Cross shopping centres, is currently turning its signs to closed on 14 of its UK stores. However, founder Chris Marks has said that he isn't FCUKed yet and is confident that the business will recover if it makes the necessary changes. A recent re-launch of its homeware range and expansion plans in China and India suggest that he may be on the right track.

The film was based on the true story of NYPD narcotics detectives Jimmy “Popeye” Doyle and Buddy “Cloudy” Russo, who pursued a Corsican-American drug ring across the Atlantic. The plot’s climax is famous for its high-speed car chase shot without permits on real city streets, which has become one of cinema’s most famous scenes. The film was nominated for eight Oscars, winning five, including Best Picture and Best Actor for Hackman. It was ranked number 36 on the American Film Institute’s 100 Years/100 Thrills list and was inducted into the National Film Registry in 1996.

It was the company’s arresting FCUK branding that really put French Connection on the map, tapping into the logo-laden zeitgeist of the Nineties. Simple T-shirts emblazoned with the slogan and what seemed like a million permutations of it struck a chord with both genders, looking fabulous teamed with combat pants and a girl-power pout or the requisite parka and scowl depending on your fashion predilections.
